BALTIMORE—Jimmer Fredette's ride in The Basketball Tournament has come to an end.
No. 2-seed Team Fredette fell in the semifinals of the $2 million-prize tournament Thursday night, losing to 7-seed Eberlein Drive, 80-76.
Team Fredette was trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter until its namesake player went vintage to help tie things up at 67. Eberlein Drive quickly got the lead back up to six, and led 73-69 when the "Elam Ending" score was set at 80.
With the score 78-76, Eberlein Drive's James Michael McAdoo missed an easy shot, and Team Fredette had a fast break opportunity that neither Fredette nor Brandon Davies could convert.
