Seattle • The Utah softball team lost at No. 1 Washington, 2-1, Sunday in the final game of their Pac-12 series.
After the teams combined for three hitless innings, the Utes (17-18, 2-10) got on the scoreboard in the fourth. BreOnna Castaneda was hit by a pitch with one out, then moved up to second on a grounder by Alyssa Barrera. Heather Bowen then delivered for the Utes, smacking a single to right for a 1-0 lead.
Washington (39-2, 10-2) finally got to Hilburn in the fifth as Amirah Milloy led off with a double.
