Salt Lake City police arrest a person in the investigation into missing University of Utah student MacKenzie Lueck

Salt Lake City police have taken one person into custody at a West Temple apartment complex in connection with the disappearance of MacKenzie Lueck. A news briefing is planned for 11:30 a.m.

Lueck, a 23-year-old University of Utah student, has been missing since June 17, when she arrived back in Salt Lake City from California.

SLCPD took one person into custody this morning regarding the MacKenzie Lueck case. We will be providing an update at 11:30 a.m at the Public Safety Building. #MacKenzieLueck

The arrests come two days after police served a search warrant at a home in Rose Park, and were seen carrying bags — of what appeared to evidence — out of the home.
