The city reached 76 degrees in 1895, according to the National Weather Service, which is also the agency that forecasted Wednesday’s weather.
The northern part of Utah is supposed to be warmer than the south Wednesday. The St. George Airport is expecting a high of 49 degrees.
Both regions cool Thursday. Rain is expected in Salt Lake City and elsewhere in northern Utah.
