Road Home’s executive director on personal leave amid big transition for the nonprofit

Matthew Minkevitch, the longtime executive director of The Road Home, has taken a personal leave of absence, the nonprofit organization confirmed to The Salt Lake Tribune on Friday.

A news release announcing his leave does not specify the length of time or reason for Minkevitch’s leave, which comes ahead of the high-profile closure of its downtown emergency shelter in the Rio Grande neighborhood and as the organization is set to move to a smaller, 300-bed resource center in South Salt Lake next week.

“As part of The Road Home’s employee confidentiality and privacy policy, it cannot discuss the details of employees’ personal matters,” the statement says.
