BYU is back in conference realignment reports.
Mark Zeigler of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Wednesday that Mountain West Conference officials confirmed they have discussed with Gonzaga the possibility of the Bulldogs joining the league as early as next season.
The Cougars, who currently play in the West Coast Conference along with the Zags, were mentioned as a candidate to follow the Bulldogs if they moved on from the WCC.
