Utah Royals FC coach Laura Harvey is leaving the club to take a job with U.S. Soccer, according to a report out Friday morning.
The Equalizer, a soccer website, says that Harvey is taking a still-undisclosed position with U.S. Soccer after two seasons leading Royals FC.
Harvey shot down reports at the end of last season that she would become U.S. Soccer’s next women’s national team coach, saying at the time that she planned to return to Royals FC.
Utah just missed the NWSL playoffs last season, finishing 10-10-4, despite having one of the more talented rosters in the league.
