A woman was found shot just west of downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday and later died, and police haven’t yet caught the shooter.
Salt Lake City officers began investigating after a woman in her 30s was found with a gunshot wound near 800 West and North Temple. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Police have not released any identifying information about the assailant or victim, but officers said investigators believe the shooting was an “isolated incident," according to a tweet from the department on Thursday evening.
