Police believe shooting of convenience store clerk was incident of domestic violence

AMERICAN FORK — A clerk who was shot multiple times at a gas station Christmas Eve remains in critical condition as police continue to search for the shooter.

Tina Marie Lowe, 39, was found wounded by a customer at Tesoro Fast Gas, 312 NW State, shortly before 6:45 a.m., American Fork Police said.

Police originally believed the incident to be a possible robbery, but American Fork Police Lt. Gregg Ludlow said later Saturday that they believe it was an incident of domestic violence.

The lieutenant said the investigation led them to search for Lowe's estranged husband, Michael Darrin Lowe, in connection with the shooting.
