Official: BYU QB Jaren Hall out versus Boise State, Baylor Romney to start; Troy Warner to make season debut

Jaren Hall was practicing for BYU this week, but he ultimately did not pass concussion protocol and will miss the Boise State game; redshirt freshman QB Baylor Romney will start in his place.

Head coach Kalani Sitake says QB Jaren Hall will not be available tonight; Baylor Romney gets the starting nod with Joe Critchlow backing up. 6’8” freshman Blake Freeland is in line to play and start at RT; BYU is down four O-linemen: Hoge, Saleapaga, Longson, Shoaf (season).

The offensive line is also low on depth as the line will be down 2 starters and 2 backups.
