NFL locals: Eric Weddle, Daniel Sorensen, Kyler Fackrell make big defensive plays

Associated Press

A trio of defenders with Utah ties made drive-stopping plays for their respective teams during Week 11 of the NFL season.

Former Utah safety Eric Weddle started at free safety and had an interception, his fourth of the year, four solo tackles and a pass deflection while playing 65 defensive snaps for Baltimore in the Ravens' 23-0 win over Green Bay on Sunday.

His first-quarter interception of Brett Hundley in Green Bay territory led to the Ravens’ first score of the game.

The Packers' Kyler Fackrell, a former Utah State star, had five tackles, including four solo stops, and sacked Baltimore’s Joe Flacco for an 8-yard loss to help stop a Ravens drive that started in Green Bay territory and led to a field goal.
