With Solitude recently acquired by the massive Alterra Mountain Company, the Big Cottonwood Canyon resort is now the main Utah offering in Alterra’s Ikon pass, which was announced early this year. It competes with the Epic Pass from Vail Resorts, which provides unlimited access to Park City and ski days at more than 65 destinations worldwide.
The Ikon pass effectively replaces Solitude’s season pass, and throws in seven days of passes each to Brighton and Deer Valley, and seven days to be divided between Alta and Snowbird. Brighton is a new addition to the pass.
