If BYU Women’s Volleyball wins their final five games of the regular season the odds are high that they’ll get the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
That may seem obvious considering the Cougars are the No. 1 team in the national polls, but BYU’s seed has historically been lower than their rankings.
But the rankings released by the NCAA Division I Women’s Committee on Sunday affirm the Cougars’ top spot, as BYU sits on top in their first in-season Top 10.
Considering that this is a ranking released by the same people who will be deciding the tournament seeding, this is the strongest indicator yet that BYU has positioned themselves perfectly for that top seed and four home games in the NCAA Tournament.
