According to Paul Tenorio, a national MLS and soccer reporter for Four Four Two, and Cristiano Oliverio, a host on Sirius XM FC, Real Salt Lake's new head coach will be Mike Petke, who is currently head coach of the Real Monarchs, the club's USL affiliate.
The coaching change comes after the club dismissed former head coach Jeff Cassar three games into the 2017 season after a 0-2-1 start.
Petke formerly was head coach of the New York Red Bulls, where he guided his team to a 34-25-23 record from 2013 to 2015.
