The Big 12 Conference could be getting closer to having to expand.
As reported by Fox Sports' Stewart Mandel over the weekend, the NCAA will vote next week on whether or not the 10-team league may hold a football championship game.
It is currently unable to do so, and many feel that fact makes it difficult for the conference to get a spot in the College Football Playoff (it was shut out of it last year, but Oklahoma made it this season).
