Morning links: Gonzaga, former Ute assistant Donny Daniels reportedly heading back to the U.; Ty'Son Williams breaks down his transfer to BYU

According to the Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash., Utah basketball is reportedly getting a new director of basketball operations.

Donny Daniels, an assistant coach for Gonzaga basketball for nine seasons, is returning to the University of Utah to reportedly become Utah's director of basketball operations. For Daniels, the return to the hill is a homecoming. Daniels was an assistant coach for Utah from 1990-2000, serving under head coach Rick Majerus. Daniels enjoyed tremendous success at Utah, as the Utes went to the national championship game in 1998. Daniels was the main recruiter of Ute stars Keith Van Horn and Andre Miller, though his new gig at Utah reportedly will not involve recruiting.
