The concept of taking things one game at a time was blown out of the water Thursday as Matt Hayes of Sporting News examined what it would take for the BYU Cougars to receive one of the four spots in the College Football Playoff.
Forecasting BYU's season after this weekend's showdown against UCLA on the road, Hayes argues that if the Cougars can find a way to be undefeated by Nov. 3 when the first playoff ranking is released, they will have had the strongest start to their season of any squad in the country given their schedule.
