Megan Marsden is retiring as the Utah gymnastics co-coach, leaving Tom Farden in charge of the Red Rocks

Utah women’s gymnastics co-coach Megan Marsden is retiring after 35 years with the program, leaving Tom Farden to guide the Red Rocks going forward.

Marsden, 56, has held the co-coach title since 2010. Her husband, Greg Marsden, retired in 2015 and Farden was promoted to the co-coach position.

Megan Marsden, a former Ute gymnastics star, will become an ambassador for the athletic department, according to a news release.

Marsden said she intended to work another three to five years after her husband retired and decided “several months ago” that 2019 would be her final season. Utah reached the eight-team NCAA Championship last week and was eliminated in the cut to the final four teams.
