Man faces felony charges after he tried to shoot his own son

A Cottonwood Heights man faces multiple felonies after he drunkenly fired a gun at his son — and missed.

According to court documents, Christopher Michael Conran, 60, pointed a gun at his adult son and pulled the trigger early Monday morning.

According to the son, his “severely intoxicated” father woke him at 4:22 a.m. on Monday. Christopher Conran “yelled at him, kicked his door and hit the wall,” and called police to report “that his children wouldn't feed him.” Christopher Conran hen kicked a hole in his son's bedroom door and entered the room carryomg a small semi-automatic handgun, which he pointed at his son and then at his own head.
