Letter: Government should back off of women’s bodies

The Feb. 24 commentary from state Rep. Cheryl Acton regarding House Bill 136, her bill to further regulate abortion, put me over the edge.

I’m stunned that Acton is so dim and also so arrogant to think that she and the Utah Legislature know what’s best for Utah women, what “reasonable standards” are regarding gestation limits, what she is “comfortable” with concerning abortion, or what she and Gayle Ruzicka think “Utah should be all about.”

Acton stated that “no one really wants to talk about or think about abortion.” I beg to differ. I think about it, I want to talk about it and there are lots of other people like me.
