Jimmer posted consecutive 30-point games this weekend and is 22 of 22 from the free-throw line to lead Team Fredette to two wins in the opening rounds of The Basketball Tournament.
Team Fredette, a two-seed in the Midwest Region, also has his BYU teammates Brandon Davis and Charles Abouo.
TBT is a winner-take-all tournament now in its fifth season that has grown to a 72-team event. Most teams are college alumni teams or collections of overseas and G-League players — with some former NBA veterans like Matt Barnes (Sons of Westwood) and Ronnie Brewer (Team Arkansas) and Jared Sullinger and Greg Oden (Scarlet & Gray).
