BYU basketball just took down Villanova in their season-opener. I'm sorry, but that's just still so surreal to admit. It may take me all season to get used to the new reality for BYU hoops (unless perhaps the UConn game delivers a rude awakening), because there are athletes all over the floor. No blind spots; this team seems capable of matching up with anyone.
Players capable of discombobulating their defenders with a tornado of dribble moves. Players with the length and elasticity to stretch into openings, stop on a dime, and calmly deliver a bucket.
