BYU Basketball has advanced to the semifinal round of the WCC Tournament and will play the no. 1 seeded Saint Mary’s Gaels in Las Vegas on Monday night.
The 5-seed BYU Cougars (19-14) got to this point by first defeating Portland on Friday then Loyola Marymount on Saturday. Portland was the 8 seed in the tourney, while LMU was the 4. BYU beat LMU, 73-63.
Saint Mary’s has yet to play in the tournament, having earned the triple bye with the one seed. The Gaels’ last game was on Feb. 25 — A loss at Gonzaga, 77-68.
