The shooting occurred at Hunter Ridge Park, 4383 S. 5710 West, according to dispatchers. The dispatch log for the 12:51 p.m. shooting also says there was a stabbing at the location.
Granite School District — which has its own police force — said via Twitter that though the officer is a member of the district’s force, the shooting didn’t occur on school property, nor does it appear to be school-related.
