So, Gonzaga is really good.
The fourth-ranked Bulldogs jumped to an early double-digit lead and never looked back in a 93-63 rout over BYU in the Marriott Center. Gonzaga’s elite frontcourt was way too much for BYU to handle, as Brandon Clarke and Rui Hachimura scored 23 points and 20 points, respectively.
TJ Haws led BYU with 16 points, and Yoeli Childs was held to just 12 points on 3-11 shooting. As a team, BYU shot 36.5% from the field and 30% from the three point line. On the other end of the floor, Gonzaga showed why they were the number one offense in the nation, shooting 59% from the floor and 50% from three.
