The BYU Cougar football program will be gaining the services of a former Utah high school star.
Nephi Sewell, who won Deseret News 3AA MVP honors in 2016 after he led the Desert Hills Thunder to the state championship announced via Twitter on Sunday night that he will be leaving the Nevada Wolf Pack for Provo.
Nevada Sports Net's Chris Murray reported on Dec. 3 that Sewell would be transferring.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds, Sewell started at safety in both of the seasons he played for the Wolf Pack. In 2018, he finished with 53 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
