In a roster move that mostly flew under the radar, last week the Minnesota Vikings signed former BYU star linebacker Sione Takitaki to the team's practice squad. Joining the practice squad means Sione could be called up to the 53-man roster at any time, or he could be directly signed to another team's 53-man roster.
This is a positive development for the veteran linebacker who is looking to continue his solid NFL career.
In four seasons at BYU he recorded 237 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. During his 2018 senior season he racked up 118 tackles which ranked 31st nationally.
