Former BYU guard L.J. Rose was waived by the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League on Thursday.

Rose played in two regular-season games for the Stars this season, averaging 2.5 points and two assists. He hadn’t played in a game for two weeks for Salt Lake City (1-9).

His most recent game action was his best, as Rose played 13 points and had five points and four assists in a 122-111 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors on Nov. 15. Rose shot 2 of 5 from the field in the game, 0 of 2 from 3-point range and 1 for 2 from the free-throw line.
