Former BYU guard L.J. Rose makes Salt Lake City Stars roster

L.J. Rose isn’t done playing basketball in the state of Utah.

The former BYU basketball guard is one of 14 players listed on the Salt Lake City Stars’ opening-day roster released Monday. The Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, start their season on Nov. 3 at the Austin Spurs.

Rose was a graduate transfer at BYU, playing for the Cougars last season. He averaged 5.5 points, 4.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds for BYU while playing in 24 games. He missed the final nine games of the year because of injury, last playing for BYU in a Feb.
