Flipping the calendar proves perfect remedy for two Lone Peak swimmers

One swimmer’s performance the day before was as forgettable is it comes. Another standout Knights athlete may have had lingering thoughts that second place was as good as it would get.

The Lone Peak girls ended up getting first in three individual races and two relays on the final day, but it wasn’t enough as American Fork took the girls’ team title. On the other hand, the Knights boys captured their second straight team championship with a 149.5-point margin over Pleasant Grove.

“I didn’t look, I didn’t even look. I just went straight to the warm-down pool,” said Shreeve, who refused to check out the final results in Thursday’s 200-yard freestyle, an event that she entered with the top qualifying time.
