Flash flooding ‘probable’ in much of Utah through Friday

The National Weather Service on Wednesday said flash flooding is “possible” this week in about one-third of Utah and “probable” in roughly another third.

The Weather Service issued a warning through Friday. No chance of flooding was listed in northwest Utah, but flooding is considered possible in northeast Utah and southwest Wyoming as well as a stretch of Utah that roughly stretches from Logan then to Interstate 15 and south to St. George.

Flooding is more likely in Duchesne and then south and west to Price, Richfield and Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canon and Zion national parks.
