Fake Latter-day Saint missionaries tried to get inside homes in northern Utah, police say

The two tried to get into homes in Roy, FOX 13 reported. Police want to find the men and ask that anyone who sees call 801-774-1063.

“I saw him [peering into the window] and when he saw me come around the stairs he stepped back," Tonnie Baumgardner told the station, “but the other kid had his hand on the door handle.”

The men’s cover story apparently didn’t extend to their appearance. Instead of being clean shaven and wearing the white shirt, black tie, black slacks and black name tag that’s such a familiar garb in Utah, the two were described as white, in their early to mid 20s and wearing dark jackets.
