As I do in late June every year, I made the pilgrimage to Barnes & Noble to pick up the latest copy of Phil Steele's College Football Magazine. As advertised, it is packed with information … some may think too much, but it is a great resource, not just before the season, but all through the year.
The 2017 edition has some pretty positive indicators for the season. First of all, according to Steele's power ratings, BYU should win nine regular season games, even with the game versus Utah rated as a tossup. The projected losses are to LSU, Wisconsin and Mississippi State.
