Dog lovers, rejoice! Here are 22 Salt Lake County restaurants where your can have your puppy on the patio.

Want to get pasta with your pup? Some dinner with your dog? A kale salad with your K9? The Salt Lake County Health Department announced 22 restaurants and cafes approved to legally allow dogs in their outdoor eating area.

The health department granted the 22 variances for the 2019 season and expects more establishments to apply in the weeks to come.

The variance only applies to dog and does not affect qualifying ADA service dogs in anyway. At this time last year, only 14 restaurants got the “dog patio” license.

To receive such a license, the dog-friendly business must submit to a special safety plan, pay a $315 fee and agree to a few simple rules.
