After two weeks of play, BYU fans have gone from saying “WE’RE BACK” to “WE SUCK AGAIN” in consecutive weeks.
Although BYU isn’t going to win 10 games this season, another four-win season doesn’t seem very likely either, at least according to the latest win projections.
After having BYU favored in just 4 games in the preseason, ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) now has BYU projected to win 5.8 games. BYU is ranked 73 overall, and is pegged as a favorite in half of the remaining 10 games.

BYU is unsurprisingly big underdogs to the three remaining P5 foes and Boise State, but one potential surprise is that BYU is a home underdog to Utah State.
