After playing three different QB’s in their season opener versus North Carolina, Cal listed 3 QB’s as the potential starter in their newly released depth chart prior to Saturday’s BYU game.
Junior QB Ross Bowers started 12 games last season and got the starting nod versus UNC, but Bowers had trouble moving the offense as he finished 8/17 for 56 yards and no TD’s. Bowers threw for 3,309 yards to go along with 18 TD’s and 12 picks last season.
Redshirt freshman Chase Garbers came in the second half and gave the offense a bit of a spark with his running ability.
