BYU couldn’t get going in the first quarter and found themselves down 14-0 as the second quarter started. The Cougars would get it in gear and score 31 unanswered points. Answering the 14-0 start with a 41-7 run for the 41-21 victory.
The Cougars averaged 414.6 yards per game coming into the home finale and got 407 total yards. BYU was averaging 33.4 points per game, which was 30th in college football, and went above that with their 41 points in this win.
