PROVO — Ranked in the top 25 in the nation in total defense and scoring defense, and having nearly pulled off an upset a couple of weeks ago against a Southeastern Conference opponent (Missouri) on the road, Connecticut is playing with some confidence these days.
And after watching its next opponent, BYU, get dominated last week at Michigan — the Cougars were shut out and gained just 105 yards of total offense — the Huskies have to like their chances when they visit LaVell Edwards Stadium Friday (8:15 p.m., MT, ESPN2).
UConn, which is 2-2 on the season, has already matched its win total from last season (2-10).
