BYU women's rugby team wins first-ever national title

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The BYU women's rugby team capped an undefeated season by defeating Virginia Tech 48-0 in the D1 Spring College Championship on Saturday.

It's the first major title ever won by the 19-year-old club.

Emily Briggs, Larissa Graham, Sandy Kanuch, Rachael Strasdas, Pamela Patton and captain Gabrielle Peterson all scored tries for BYU in the victory.
