Seventh-ranked BYU lost its match at fourth-ranked UCLA on Saturday night in four sets (25-16, 14-25, 19-25, 18-25), dropping it’s fourth straight match as its month long road trip came to a close.
The Cougars came out firing, creating a large margin in the first set and never letting the Bruins back in. The Cougars were led by Gabi Garcia Fernandez, and the Cougars easily won the set 25-16.
The Bruins came out strong in the second and third sets, however, and the Cougars struggled with hitting and passing in the set, eventually losing 14-25 and 19-25.
