BYU tabs longtime assistant Greg Vehar as new director of Cougar Club

PROVO — Longtime assistant Greg Vehar is the new director of BYU’s Cougar Club, the school announced Monday.

Vehar takes over for 24-year director Mike Middleton, who stepped away in May to become assistant dean of external relations at BYU’s law school. Vehar had been assistant director since 2000.

“I’ve worked closely with Greg for many years and have been impressed with his ability to serve our club members and help them in their efforts to support BYU student-athletes,” said BYU Associate Athletic Director of Development Chad Lewis in a school news release. “I am confident in his ability to grow the Cougar Club and strengthen the athletic department.
