Preston Jenkins and Payton Sorenson earned Olympic trial cuts at the American Short Course Championship on Friday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.
“We had a really good morning and were able to get a couple of trial cuts,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “Preston got his cut in the 200 back and Payton got his in the 100 free, so that’s really exciting. Ellie Thornbrue also pulled off a great performance in the 100 butterfly. We have one morning to go and hopefully we can post some fast short course times.
