Provo • BYU swept Oregon in the second round of the NCAA Women’s volleyball tournament at Smith Field House Saturday to earn a berth to the Sweet 16 for the sixth straight season.
The Cougars have not lost a set in the tournament. They will face No. 4 seed Kentucky, which came back to beat Western Kentucky 3-2 Saturday, in the quarterfinals.
The Cougars put its fans on their feet in the final set by winning a long rally on a kill by Roni Jones-Perry to go up 24-19. They held on to win the final set 25-19.
