BYU sophomore pitcher Arissa Paulson was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, the first of her career and the first weekly award for the Cougars this season.
Paulson pitched 18.2 innings in three games for BYU with a 2.41 ERA to earn her first Pitcher of the Week award. She tallied 19 strikeouts while giving up just five earned runs in her contests. She finished with an opposing batting average of .164, scattering just 11 hits in 18.2 innings.
