After a 66-14 shellacking over FCS foe North Alabama, BYU remained at number 8 in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Polls.
BYU is the only 9-0 team in the country and in the midst of its best start since the 12-0 start in 2001. While the AP and Coaches polls are both fun and a good barometer to see where the BYU sits, the most important poll is released Tuesday — that is when the College Football Playoff Committee releases their first rankings of the year.
If BYU is right around in 8 in that poll, then BYU should be in a good spot to receive a NY6 bid.
