BYU ranked No. 5 in Learfield Directors' Cup sports rankings

PROVO — Overall, BYU athletics enjoyed a remarkable performance in the fall of 2018.

That was manifest in the recently released Learfield Directors' Cup Div. I final fall standings, as the Cougars placed No. 5, tying the highest fall ranking in school history.

BYU was also ranked No. 5 in 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2016.

The Cougars earned significant points in men's cross-country (90), women's volleyball (83), women's cross-country (72), football (45) and women's soccer (25).
