It was a rough week for BYU Olympic sports, but the hockey and men’s tennis teams both got wins against in-state rivals.
BYU Hockey
BYU hockey participated in the Wasatch Cup, hosted by Weber State. The tournament had four teams, including BYU, Weber State, Utah State, and Utah Valley.
The Cougars first played on Friday against UVU, and dismantled the Wolverines by a score of 11-3. It marked the Cougars fourth win over the Wolverines this season. Alex Barrus recorded a hat-trick for the Cougars.
On Saturday, the Cougars met the Utah State Aggies for their fifth match-up of the season, this time for the Wasatch Cup Championship.
