MADISON, Wis. — The BYU Cougars are tied with the No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers at 14 at halftime Saturday afternoon on the road.
The Badgers scored first on a short touchdown run from Taiwan Deal in the first quarter, but the Cougars put up the next two touchdowns, one on a Squally Canada run and the second on a trick play pass from wide receiver Aleva Hifo to Moroni Laulu-Pututau.
BYU had two good chances to score in the second quarter, as a deep pass to Dallin Holker inside the 5-yard line was ruled incomplete and Skyler Southam missed a 52-yard field goal attempt.
