BYU golf: Cougars in 10th after day one of Minnesota Invitational

Defending West Coast Conference champion BYU women’s golf shot 6-over as a team on Monday to claim 10th place, after two rounds of the Minnesota Invitational held at Prestwick Golf Club.

“We had some good rounds today,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said, “but we will need to manage ourselves and the course a little bit better tomorrow to score.”

Kendra Dalton and Anna Kennedy led the Cougars, both shooting 1-over through 36 holes on Monday. Dalton and Kennedy are tied for 33rd place.

Dalton carded a first-round 73, followed by a second-round 72.
