BYU forwards Andrus, Shaw out remainder of season with injuries

BYU forwards Ryan Andrus and Braiden Shaw are out for the rest of the season with injuries, Cougars coach Dave Rose announced Wednesday.

Andrus, who returned from an LDS Church mission in Philadelphia prior to this year, has missed the entire 2017-18 season with knee issues. According to BYU, he had his left knee scoped recently and is currently in physical therapy and rehab.

Shaw has dealt with two ankle sprains and played in just one game this year, and he will have season-ending ankle surgery later this week, BYU announced.

Shaw played in 31 games, starting two, last year as a sophomore, when he averaged 1.
